Heading out of Connecticut we made our way to a really cute area where we enjoyed some donuts and coffee at Nana's Bakery. We stopped in a few shops and found a Connecticut shot glass. Part of this adventure is getting a shot glass from every state we visit. Sometimes that means stopping at weird roadside gas stations or the most random stores in the hopes that they don't think we're wacky. Anyway, in Mystic the draw bridge raised for passing boats so that was charming and cute.

We dealt with the insane traffic and made our way to Liberty State Park in Jersey City, New Jersey. It was cool to see all of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. It was a lovely day to have some ice cream and stare at NYC from New Jersey.

We drove from New Jersey to Philadelphia and stayed at the Independence Park Hotel. The front desk guy was goofy and loved the paranormal like me so he told me that the hotel used to be a doll factory and I about lost it. Fun! The waffle makers in the breakfast area even makes liberty bell waffles and it is within walking distance of everything. We walked to McGillin's Olde Ale House and had the time of our lives. The Phillies game was on and the 90's music was blaring - the food was amazing and so were the beers. It was a gem of a place.

We walked to the gay bar, Tabu, and enjoyed a drag show. We got an Uber back to the hotel and celebrated a great night in Philadelphia.

We said goodbye to beautiful Bar Harbor, Maine and made our way to Providence. Rhode Island. We were told that we needed to try a coffee milk - something that is specific to Rhode Island. After asking where to get one from the store where we bought a Rhode Island shot glass, the clerk told us we NEEDED to go to Olneyville NY System for hot wieners and coffee milk. We did just that and weren't disappointed. The coffee milk was so yummy.

We headed to Connecticut and stayed at an Airbnb with a woman who had a thick New York accent. She let us use her washer/dryer and was gem! Such a nice lady. After doing laundry we headed out into Waterford for dinner. We got pizza and it was great.

Waking up in the Cadillac Suite was fantastic! After walking to get blueberry lattes at Acadia Perk, we headed out in our car and made our way to the Bass Harbor Head Light Station. It was neat to see something I've seen many times on a postcard. We then drove to one of the most famous lobster shacks - the Travelin Lobster in order to try our first lobster roll. I thought it was okay but my midwestern self will probably never opt for a lobster roll ever again in my life.

We came back to the Bar Harbor area and walked across the sea floor at Bar Island nearby. If you don't pay attention to the time, the tide could come in and you would be stuck on Bar Island. We had dinner at Leary's Irish Landing (the closest pub in the USA to Ireland) and enjoyed dinner and drinks. We got blueberry ice cream at CJ's Big Dipper and then we packed up our things and knew our time here in Maine has come to an end.
