We stayed in a cute Vrbo in Burlington that overlooked Lake Champlain. I tried to spend quality time looking for Champy but I did not see it...We walked all over Burlington and found our way down to the waterfront where we saw a stand for Champ's Creemies. Getting a maple creemie was on our list of must-do things in Burlington. This ice cream tasted like a stack of maple pancakes! We could have each had four but we stuck to one. We enjoyed our time in Burlington and found it very walkable. We had coffee at August One, bought some souvenirs for the cats at Homeport on the famous Church Street. We had lunch at the Pingala Cafe that was once on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives. The cafe was right by the Winooski River that was bursting at the seams! I felt scared to park in the little parking lot because the water was moving so quickly. The food at this totally vegan cafe was very very good! After more walking, we ended up eat dinner at the Vermont Pub & Brew and even tried a blueberry ale. We headed back to the Vrbo and sat on the patio overlooking the sunset on Lake Champlain. A lovely day in a lovely town.
